Bibi Nafeeza Habib, originally from Guyana (formerly British Guiana) in South America, is a proud representative of the continent's only English-speaking country, which is home to a diverse population of six races. As a person of Asian Indian descent with religious beliefs rooted in Islam, Bibi migrated to the U.S. in 1996, bringing with her a British education that she greatly values for its role in facilitating her academic pursuits.

After 15 years of balancing college, work, family responsibilities, and raising three children, Bibi earned a master’s degree in accounting. She has also acquired several certificates in various fields and considers herself a lifelong learner, always eager to gain and share knowledge.

Her commitment to helping others led her to a career in non-profit organizations, where she has thrived as a Workforce Development Manager for the Homecare team at 1199 SEIU League Training and Employment Funds. Over her 22 years of service, she has gained extensive expertise in finance, operations, program development, and workforce development. In her role, she provides educational support to low-paid, underrepresented, and undervalued workers, helping them improve their lives and those of their families. Bibi aligns closely with her company’s commitment to advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Currently, she is pursuing a New York State License for Insurance to further assist families in strategizing their financial futures. In her spare time, Bibi enjoys traveling, exploring diverse cultures, people, and cuisines, and cherishing moments with her four children, who are her greatest source of joy and motivation.

Bibi holds two personal mottos close to her heart: “Believe in yourself when nobody does” and “Live your BEST life.”
