Roberta Halfman

Roberta Santos-Halfmann lives in Westchester County, NY with her three children and husband.

Beginning 2010, she moved from Brazil to the U.S. to pursue her American Dream. In the US, she married and started a beautiful family.

Like the majority of foreigners, she had to find a way to be a part and be accepted in a new culture. Not different from her peers, she worked as a housekeeper and babysitter. She was fortunate enough to be able to go to school every single day during her first two years in the US to learn English.

She had a goal to learn English and get a better job, so in 2011, Roberta started to work as a Portuguese instructor at Berlitz language. In 2012, she became a Portuguese instructor adjunct at Westchester Community College in Valhalla, NY.
To her surprise, she found a large group of people very interested in learning about her Brazilian culture and its language.

Being an entrepreneur driven type of person, she founded an organization called Brazilian Earth Institute - BREIN - where individuals were able to learn the Portuguese language and also experiment the Brazilian food, drinks as well as learn more about its culture and native lifestyle.

She had to place BREIN in pause from 2014 and 2016 due to her second pregnancy and a family matter. When it came the time to resume BREIN, she decided that it was time for a professional change.

In 2016, Roberta received an offer to work as a Financial Services Professional with an insurance company. She grew professionally, learned and educated and helped individuals to create financial security for their families and business.

In the start of 2021, Roberta received an offer to work as an Insurance consultant at Liberty Mutual. She continues to help individuals to achieve financial security and a lot more.

Being able to listen to people stories and create a solution for their needs are two components that drive Roberta to do what she does.

On her spare time, she enjoys expending time with her family and serving in her church’s preschoolers ministry.
